India successfully launched a new weather satellite, INSAT-4F, on Tuesday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
The satellite is designed to improve real-time weather forecasting, especially for cyclones and monsoon patterns. ISRO confirmed the satellite reached its intended orbit.
Officials say this will help farmers, disaster management teams, and aviation authorities plan more efficiently.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the mission, calling it a “leap forward in climate resilience and technology.”
More such launches are expected as India expands its space-based monitoring systems.
